About Teletherapy
Teletherapy is an online delivery of therapy through video conference. A teletherapy session looks similar to a session in person, but is provided through the computer or mobile device. We use a HIPAA-compliant software to sure the security and privacy of our sessions. Our therapy sessions are fun and interactive. Teletherapy includes interactive games and screen sharing to keep the child motivated and interested throughout the session.
Services Offered
We offer an initial evaluation, development of a program plan, and therapy sessions.
If you already have an IEP we can offer a continuation of the IEP for speech services.
Areas of treatment:
Feeding Therapy: Therapy will address your child’s oral motor-sensory skill development needed for safe and nutritive feeding.
Oral Placement Therapy: Therapy will combine auditory, tactile, and visual stimulation to help your child produce target sounds. Oral Placement Therapy is often characterized by the use of a therapy tool and/or other tactile proprioceptive techniques to establish a speech sound. The target sounds are immediately transitioned into speech without the therapy tools.
Tongue Thrust: Therapy will focus on increasing awareness, stabilizing the jaw, and helping the child retract the tongue to accurately produce target sounds.
Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS): Therapy will focus on motor planning using a variety of auditory, visual, and tactile/proprioceptive techniques. Therapy will increase awareness of articulators, and will break down sound production to the most basic level, before moving on to more complex sound production.
